Invisalign Treatment from an Orthodontic Specialist

Invisalign is most effective when planned and monitored by an orthodontist who specializes in tooth movement and bite alignment. At NAY Orthodontics, our practice focuses exclusively on orthodontic care, allowing us to provide advanced expertise in:

  • Invisalign treatment for adults

  • Invisalign for teens

  • Complex bite correction with clear aligners

  • Relapse cases after previous braces

  • Customized treatment planning for long-term stability

Our approach ensures that your Invisalign treatment is not only cosmetic, but also supports proper bite function and long-term oral health.

What Are Invisalign Clear Aligners?

Invisalign treatment uses a series of custom-designed clear aligners to gradually move teeth into proper alignment. Each set of aligners is created specifically for your smile using advanced digital planning technology.

Invisalign aligners are:

  • Virtually invisible when worn

  • Removable for eating, brushing, and flossing

  • Smooth and comfortable (no metal brackets or wires)

  • Designed to fit your lifestyle

Because the aligners are removable, patients can enjoy greater flexibility while still achieving effective orthodontic results.

What Can Invisalign Fix?

Invisalign clear aligners can successfully treat many common orthodontic concerns, including:

  • Crooked teeth

  • Crowded teeth

  • Gaps between teeth

  • Overbites and underbites

  • Crossbites

  • Relapse after previous orthodontic treatment

During your complimentary consultation, our orthodontist will evaluate your smile and determine whether Invisalign is the right option for your specific needs.

Our Invisalign Process

Starting Invisalign treatment can feel like a personal journey, and having the right orthodontic team matters. At NAY Orthodontics, we take time to understand your goals and provide a supportive, comfortable experience throughout your care.

Your Invisalign journey begins with a comprehensive orthodontic evaluation, including an exam of your teeth, bite, jaws, and overall oral health. We review your results with you and discuss all appropriate treatment options so you can make an informed decision.

Using advanced digital planning, we design a customized Invisalign treatment plan and coordinate the creation of your custom aligners. Once your aligners are ready, we guide you through how to wear and care for them and continue to monitor your progress throughout treatment.

Patients typically wear their aligners for 20–22 hours per day, changing to a new set every 1–2 weeks. For optimal results, patients must follow wear instructions and attend progress visits as recommended by the orthodontist, allowing treatment to be monitored and adjusted as needed.

Clear Aligners FAQs

We understand that choosing the treatment that's right for you can feel daunting. That's why we encourage you to share your concerns and questions. Our team is happy to provide the answers and resources you need to feel confident in your treatment plan. Here are some of the most common questions we receive about invisible braces.

Do I have to change my diet during Invisalign treatment?

No. Clear aligners are completely removable, so you don't have to give up any of your favorite foods or drinks. You will need to remove the trays every time you eat or drink anything besides water, because the force of chewing will damage the aligners and drinks can stain the plastic. After you finish your meal, brush your teeth and put your trays back in.

Yes. The clear trays are comfortable to wear and won't interrupt your sleeping habits. It's also necessary to wear them for 22 hours each day, so you will need to sleep in your aligners to meet the required amount of time.

This depends on the severity of your bite misalignment and how closely you follow the treatment guidelines. Successful Invisalign treatment is a partnership between patient and orthodontist, and consistent wear and compliance play an important role in achieving the best results. In general, most patients complete treatment within 6–18 months.

If an aligner is lost or damaged, contact our office as soon as possible. In many cases, you can temporarily wear your previous aligner while we guide you on the next steps. Timely communication helps prevent unnecessary delays in treatment, especially if new aligners must be ordered.
